Some foreign media reported，Apple's next-generation newly designed MacBook Pro will be equipped with an M1X chip (also named M2)，同時移除屏幕下方的“MacBook Pro”文字。

作為M1的下一代產品，新的處理器將支持更多雷靂通道，有更多CPU核心、GPU core，多外接顯示器支持，包括10核CPU（8個高性能核心，2個高能效核心） ，以及16核或32核GPU 設計，最高支持64GB內存。

在這之前就曾有消息人士透露，Apple's first dual-core packaged CPU (let's call it M2 dual，Use 2 M2 SIPs，One of them rotates 180 degrees) will start mass production in the third quarter of this year。sources say，這款M2的性能會更強勁，And the strongest version will be the first launch of Apple's own desktop Mac Pro。

對於蘋果來說，不需要考慮刀法的優勢十分明顯，M2芯片的性能釋放與功耗設計應該會延續蘋果升級不要錢的風格，進一步對Intel和AMD的同級別產品進行壓制，並將功耗降低到新的水準。

蘋果公司此前表示，該公司脫離Intel處理器過渡至自研芯片的過程將在2022年WWDC全球開發者大會前後完成。

按照爆料的信息看，M2處理器將會基於5nm工藝，蘋果會進一步提升多核性能表現（有32核心、甚至是64核心的），應足以應付更多線程。
