Google wants to connect Nest Audio and Chromecast to be your home theater speaker

According to comments from a Google spokesperson in the Wall Street Journal,Google is working hard to integrate itsChromecastStreaming devices and Nest Audio speakers,The move would put Google's smart home and streaming gadgets on par with Amazon and Apple in functionality。

and competitor Amazon、like apple,Google may soon be adding double-duty home-theater features to its own speakers too。In a recent Wall Street Journal article,Mentioned that Google has confirmed to it that after Nest Audio is upgraded to a new version of firmware in the future,It can be used as an output home theater speaker with Chromecast。Specific details have not yet been released,But it feels like it should be the same as Echo、HomePod won't be much different。

The ability to connect a smart speaker to a streaming box is also something both Apple and Amazon already offer。Apple allows customers to link both HomePods and the HomePod mini speaker to Apple TV (the Apple TV 4K and full-size HomePod even offer additional synergy with virtual Dolby Atmos support)。Amazon also lets customers use its Echo devices to control its Fire TV and output audio。

Except Nest Audio,It's unclear if this will work with traditional Google speakers like the Home Max。
